# Share of voice

> What share of tracked-brand mentions belong to one brand.

Share of voice is the percentage of tracked-brand mentions that belong to one brand.

A mention is one answer, from one assistant, that named the brand at least once. Repeating the name inside that answer does not add another mention. A name that appears in an answer and is not a tracked brand does not count. A brand with no result that day is left out of that day's split.

The dashboard averages those daily shares over the last 7 UTC days. The trend is in percentage points. Higher is better. The value runs from 0 to 100.

A scanned day where nobody was mentioned is skipped. There is nothing to divide. [Visibility](https://docs.mentiofy.com/metrics/visibility.md) still records 0% for that day, because the scan ran and the brand was not named.
