# Sentiment

> How positively AI answers talk about a brand, from 0 to 100.

Sentiment is a score from 0 to 100 for the tone around a mention. Higher is more positive. A score near 50 is neutral.

Mentiofy scores sentiment when the brand is mentioned. Days with no mentions are left out of the average, so a quiet day does not pull the score down to zero.

The dashboard averages the days in the last 7 UTC days that have a score. The trend is points versus the previous 7 days. Higher is better.

On a prompt, sentiment compares the latest completed run with the run before it, for your brand.
