# Position

> How early a brand is named among the tracked brands in an answer.

Position is how early the brand is named compared with the other tracked brands in the same answer.

**1** means this brand was the first tracked brand named. **2** means another tracked brand was named before it. Lower is better. A negative trend means the brand is being named earlier than in the previous window.

Answers that do not mention the brand have no position, and they are left out of the average.

The dashboard averages daily position over the last 7 UTC days. On a prompt, position compares the latest completed run with the run before it, for your brand.
