# Overview

> The four dashboard numbers, and how they differ from a single prompt.

The dashboard tracks four numbers for your brand and each competitor.

| Metric | What it answers | Better when |
| - | - | - |
| [Visibility](https://docs.mentiofy.com/metrics/visibility.md) | How often answers name the brand | Higher |
| [Share of voice](https://docs.mentiofy.com/metrics/share-of-voice.md) | What share of tracked-brand mentions belong to this brand | Higher |
| [Sentiment](https://docs.mentiofy.com/metrics/sentiment.md) | How the answer talks about the brand, from 0 to 100 | Higher |
| [Position](https://docs.mentiofy.com/metrics/position.md) | How early the brand is named among tracked brands in that answer | Lower |

The chart has a tab for each metric. The brand table is sorted by visibility and shows the trend next to each value.

## Visibility and share of voice

Both start from mentions, and they answer different questions.

Visibility is how often answers name the brand: mentioned answers divided by answers scored for that brand. One answer can name several brands, so visibility percentages do not add up to 100%.

Share of voice splits the mentions among the brands you track. On a day when someone was mentioned, those brands share 100%.

## Two windows

Dashboard numbers average the last 7 UTC days and compare them with the previous 7 days.

On **Prompts**, visibility, sentiment, and position compare the latest completed run with the run before it, for your brand. Competitors are on the dashboard, not in that prompt row.
